the cottage

For the second year in a row my parents have treated our entire family to a wonderful Lake Michigan beach vacation. This year proved to be as fabulous as last! We had a wonderful time in the sun, sand and water and fantastic house on the bluff. We had many visitors, awesome food, lots of laughs and comfy beds to lay our heads. Izzy cried on the way home after she realized her vacation with her cousins was over. She and Alex get along like an old married couple and their parting is always hard for her. Thanks so much Mom and Dad for all of the memories!

The long walk to the beach ~208 stairs!

My grandma on her 92nd birthday with all of her grandkids!

Celebrating Nema's birthday early at the cottage! Thanks so much for making the journey out to see us, it was such a fun couple days.

awesome sunset!

As Alex says, "Two men in a tub!"

Aunt Jill helping Izzy to take a turn flying the kite, with no wind.

...flying (?) kites - Izzy ran in front of Benji as he held the string, they both had a blast!

...eating s'mores - Izzy, Aunt Rah-Rah and mommies favorite thing to do!

Thanks so much mom and dad, for another wonderful vacation! You two are the best!

...climbing light houses - only they weren't real this year!

Izzy's new stance - hands on her hips - followed by singing or the stink eye!
