first of many...

Marcus and I attended Isabella's first school conference this evening. I was so excited to go to hear about what someone else had to say about my little girl! Her teacher is great, so observant and thoughtful and caring. She told us in the nicest way possible something that we already knew, that she is bossy, only her teacher said, "She pays attention to detail. If she is walking around and notices someone not using work in the way that they were taught she will tell them." Ahh, I wonder who she gets that from???

Lucy is doing fine, she is a fussy little baby during the day but her nights are restful and she has given me many 6 and 7 hour stretches, so I guess I can't complain too much. Izzy played peek-a-boo with her today and she talked and smiled at her, Izzy loved it! It was the first real interaction that they have had together.

Here are a couple of pictures from last weekend. We went to a centennial farm with Izzy's class that was a little, shall I say interesting, but we had fun anyway. Lucy joined us in the Baby Bjorn and was warm and cozy in her bones pj's.

Here is a self-portrait taken while she is eating a peanut butter bagel!

Welcome to my world. I try to act like I'm really concerned as the teachers tell me this news...and what I really want to say is "I can't change her just like you can't change the kid that sits at the table and never says anything!". I also want to point out that I know that she is a better leader than a follower and I like it that way.

I must go to the same conferences. I try to act concerned but I really want to laugh because they always act like they're telling me something new. I also blame it on Dan :)
