What a week it has been... While Marcus has been mostly hard at work building shelves for Izzy's school, the girls and I have been enjoying all awesomeness that Michigan has to offer in the summer. Luckily Marcus has been able to take some breaks to have fun with us.
We started on Tuesday with a great trip to the Children's Museum where Izzy found a perfect little friend to play with and Lucy helped me pick and sort all of the vegetables in the pretend garden.
Later that day we took an impromptu bike ride to Sarah and Matt's house and ended up staying for dinner with these two little cuties.
On Wednesday the girls and I were invited to go to Rockford to visit Natalie's horse Breeza. Lucy was so excited and was talking about seeing the "Hosee" for days before. As I expected she was intrigued and scared at the same time.

| The beautiful barn and sky, a perfect summer day! |
That night we decided to head to grand Haven for dinner and a sunset beach trip, but the wind and colder air changed our plans a bit - no beach, no sunset, just Pronto Pups on the channel and Ice Cream on the way home!
Thursday we started our day early with raspberry picking and ended it with an awesome canoeing trip down the Flat river sponsored by Papa!

| The girls both did a great job picking! |

| 3 generations on the Flat, thanks Papa for all the gear and transportation. |
 |
| She so badly wanted to be in the front, but she settled for some time with the paddle. |
 |
| We wanted to leave her on this rock after she started complaining about it being too hot and having to pee. |
 |
| Gorgeous Michigan scenery! |

That was a very full and fun week! Thanks to Nema for keeping Lucy so we could enjoy the river without hearing Mommy 70,000 times!
