Birthday and Party Time

Izzy celebrated her 7th birthday with a Taco Boy dinner and ice cream out with Grammy and Grandpa and the Kushelskis.  It was a great night, except for that it was maybe a little chilly for ice cream...  Her party was just yesterday and Marcus and I decided to do friends and family all on the same day, so it was a GREAT day, but an exhausting one!  Izzy had four friends from school over and we had a little painting studio time on the deck to paint fairies in trees and enjoy the beautiful weather.  They had a scavenger hunt to find goody bags filled with fairy wands, and enchanted beans, jelly beans really, and some sparkly nail polish and a container of fairy dust.  They enjoyed mushroom cupcakes and fruit and then played and had a great time.  After they all left we sat for about an hour and convinced the girls to have a minute of down time before the next party.  The rest of of the family came over later and it was perfect.  Marcus and I are so grateful for our new home that is perfect for entertaining, as well as the amazing April weather that allowed us to enjoy our freshly renovated deck and the backyard.  It was fabulous.  As Marcus put Izzy to bed last night he said, "I'm glad you had a good day Iz."  She responded, "I didn't have a good day, I had a GREAT day!"  That makes it all worth it.  Happiest of birthdays to our little lady!

The black and white picture of Elliot and Lucy is the best!
