these little ladies

I just wanted to take a minute to tell you how proud I am of these little ladies.  We went to both of their conferences and heard wonderful things.

Lucy is continuing to be quite an observer in her classroom and learning her letters and numbers and working steadily on creating things with therapy clay.  She has lots of friends, most of them older than her, and she comes home daily with new information to share.  She knows many of her letters and sounds and can count to 29 without help.

Izzy is a math whiz.  Her teachers say that she is going through math work faster than they can present it to her.  They are having to find ways to challenge her each day.  She always puts all of her materials away neatly and correctly, and sometimes they even call on her to fix them up at the end of the day.  She has many friends and engages in lots of imaginary play outside of the classroom.  Her writing is going much better, and it is not as much of a struggle to get her to write daily.  Her cursive is beautiful! She is practicing constantly and asking her teachers to write things in cursive so that she can copy them.

We have two amazing little ladies, and we are very proud of their hard work and imaginations.  Thanks to Montessori for fostering this in them.
