Isabella is 9!
Nine years ago I pushed for three hours to birth my first baby girl. When she came out she was grey, and quiet and I was scared. She quickly regained color as they unwrapped the cord from around her neck and handed her to me to snuggle and bond. I tell Izzy that her birth has been the most difficult part about her, everything else has been a breeze. She is my responsible rule follower. She LOVES to read and being read to. She would spend hours in her room listening to an audio book and making Lego creations. Our dinner conversations often turn to quizzes about Greek gods and goddeses, knowing that she knows more than what we can remember from 10th grade. She likes to sew and create with her Nema and she loves to visit the book store on the weekends with her Grammy. She is a home body, she finds comfort and safety in her OWN bed, her nest. She is sweet, empathetic and works hard each day to accomplish her goals. She hates being the center of attention, but likes to make others feel special.
These days you might see her walking around the block listening to an audio book while getting some exercise, or she might be found watching Chopped Jr., or Planet Earth II. She cares deeply about her friends and her family and worries too much. So far, we think she is pretty cool, we are pretty lucky to call her our daughter. Smooches Isa! We love you!
