Much to my disbelief, I have a 12 year old. It was 12 years ago that we welcomed the most beautiful, calm, baby girl into the world. It was an exhausting birth, but it has been nothing but wonderful ever since. She is a wise soul, full of kindness, integrity, calm, and compassion. She is a reader! You can always find her with a book under her arm and a scarf on her head, jeans and a grey hoodie cover her body. She spends a lot of time on her own, but even through this crazy quarantine, that has become our new way of life, she is ready for some people! She has will power to beat all will powers, remarking that she "couldn't have any ice cream after dinner, because she had already had a frosty earlier in the day." She finds comfort in routines and LOVES her own bed. Izzy spends many hours playing solitaire and listening to music or audio books. She listens to the Michael Franti station on Pandora and can be heard singing through the walls. We love this little tweenager and can't wait to watch how her life changes this year as she departs our small bubble of school and enters into middle school. We love you Isabella! Cheers to 12 years!
