17!

 Tomorrow Izzy turns 17. She continues to amaze us with her dedication and hard-work.  She is driven to succeed and always wants to do and be her best.  She is busying herself with tennis, book club, college visits, reading, homework, SAT prep, watching NCIS with her sister, learning to knit, listening to music, and hanging with friends.  Izzy is still a vegetarian and a picky eater, however this year she has been more willing to try some new things, broccoli, and came to like/tolerate them.  She still enjoys her alone time, but she loves to spend a night playing games with her family as well.  She is juggling a lot right now and is learning the art of the balance game.  She is our puzzle finisher, our family taxi cab, storyteller, and willing helper.  She is patiently waiting for her dad to complete the basement so that she can spend her senior year in the basement with a new, giant bookshelf. While some might describe Izzy as shy, we see her as a witty, brainy, old soul.  We love you Izzy and hope that this trip around the sun provides you with many things that you love, and great opportunities for growth, fun and excitement.
