first bath

As with Peanut, we called Grammy over to give Lucy her first bath. I feel like a part of me has forgotten how to take care of a newborn! She tolerated it, but she doesn't like to be cold so she did put up a little fuss. Izzy was very interested in helping and did a great job of putting lotion on her legs and feet. Izzy's teacher at school put out the baby washing work at school just for Izzy's benefit and she refuses to participate in it, so stubborn!

Lucy is fitting right in with the family and after a couple weeks and a lot of visits to various doctors (Lucy was jaundiced, her weight was down, I was having heart palpitations, then got an infection in my uterus) we are trying to make life as normal as possible. We spent last Friday night with just the four of us having our first family fire in the back yard. Izzy followed that up with a family hug and a family kiss that had to include Lucy!
