The First of Many Firsts

It is the end of summer vacation, and for our family that is a very sad moment.  Marcus and I are both so busy during the school year, that we feel as though we hardly get to see each other, and we long for the next summer so that we are able to connect again.  But for now the focus is on school for every one!! Both girls had their first days of school this week.  Izzy went into it strong and excited, while Lucy showed some excitement and some hesitation.  When asked Izzy said that he first day was "great!"  How was it different from last year, "After lunch the little kids go downstairs for a rest and we stay upstairs to have our kindergarten lesson."  Lucy on the other hand got a different report from her teachers.  She was a little weepy today on her first day and sad that mommy wasn't coming to pick her up.  The report was that she was great for 75% of the day! As for Marcus and I we are just trying to figure it all out again.  Balancing, school, making lunches, making dinner, bathing kids, all that stuff that comes along with being a healthy happy family.  Cheers everybody to a happy, healthy school year!
