The girls had their first day of school this morning. I woke Izzy up and she looked at me and said, "I feel like I just went to sleep!" Lucy proceeded to pull her blankets over her head and hide, until we had to force her out. After all of that fun they started to get excited. They both requested french braids in their hair, and each of them let me pick out their outfit. Lucy seemed a little hesitant walking into her room, but there were no tears this year. Izzy was a little nervous, but then calmed right down as soon as she saw her dad! We are so happy that most of our family will be spending their days at Stepping Stones, such a calm laid back environment, where good things happen.
When I picked the girls up from school Lucy's response to what did she do today was, "I went potty at school and there was a blue stool in the bathroom!" Izzy said it was great and then said, "I want it to be night again really quick so that I can wake up and go to school again." Not bad for a first day...
